Sustainable Innovations Europe (INNOV) is a Spanish consultancy company that provides innovative services to a wide range of sectors across Europe: bio-based industry, renewable energy, advanced materials, among others. The core competencies offered by INNOV are structured in three main pillars which bridge the gap between ideas to market: Innovation Management, Market Uptake of Innovative Solutions, and Capacity Building.
What is the role of your organisation in the HEROES project? What about your role? INNOV is leading the exploitation activities that include the development of a suitable exploitation strategy to ensure the successful market uptake of the expected breakthrough technical developments, as well as define an IPR strategy to protect the results of each involved partner. I, as exploitation manager and WP leader, will lead all the activities to achieve the expected contribution that INNOV is able to provide about exploitation activities, as well as manage the whole work package related to communication and exploitation; so as to succeed in spreading and embedding the project´s results; contributing to increasing the social awareness on the usefulness of storage technologies.
How do you see the cooperation between the project partners?
Since the very beginning of the project, all partners are doing their utmost to collaborate, discuss and share different opinions to overcome technical challenges and achieve expected results. We also got the chance to meet in person in June 2022, and it was really great to share a couple of days together, exchange experiences and enjoy a great trekking walking in an astonishing landscape!
What do you like more about HEROES?
What I like more about the HEROES project is the impact we are aiming to bring to society, contributing to support the long-term objective of transitioning to electrified transportation by enabling fast charging of EVs and increasing share of renewable energy.
What is going to happen in the following months in your work?
During the coming months of the project, a study of the market framework and a analysis of competitive trends will be carried out to outline factors and aspects that can further impact in the upcoming exploitation of the project results. Within those insights, the exploitation strategy will be developed with a more accurate approach to enable the results increase their market share in the European market of hybrid battery systems for stationary energy storage.
