For a chance to get to know better the work of the project, we are introducing to you a series of interviews with the HEROES project partners, who will provide an insight into their experiences and tasks within the project.
This interview takes place with Henrik Amelung, business developer at be.storaged (Germany).

What is the role of your organisation in the HEROES project? What about your role?
be.storaged is responsible for the installation and testing of the first HEROES System. This includes the selection and preparation of the site as well as the preparation for grid connection. My role during the past month was to define the requirements from the perspective of a project developer and support the system design for a smooth installation and operation process.
How do you see the cooperation between the project partners?
The cooperation is excellent. We get a lot of support for open questions from all partners who are in charge. Especially requirements due to project implementation and system installation are taken seriously.
What do you like more about HEROES?
To develop in a European consortium a storage system for the European market. Projects like this could have a great impact on developing and producing cells on the European continent.
What applications and benefits are expected to be achieved at the end of the project?
Combining a high-power Lithium-Cell with high cycle rates with a high-energy cell could have a huge impact on the durability of the whole system resulting in low cycle costs. This will be a key driver to boost the expansion of the charging infrastructure.
